The programme is a full one that includes all the usual conferences, seminars, exhibitions of an international event, as well as a section dedicated to children’s films. On the evening of 22 August, the festival will host the Amanda 2003 awards (Norwegian cinema’s top award).
The event includes plenty to interest the industry with a market dedicated to Scandinavian film and audiovisual production that’s being organised with the Nordic Film & TV Fund, the Norwegian ministry for culture, Scandinavian Films and various Nordic Film Institutes.
Films, selected for their respective artistic merits, will be showcased (prior to their Scandinavian distribution) and the event will open with one local production, United by Magnus Marten and close with another, Buddy, the directorial feature debut of Morten Tyldum, the winner of this year’s Audience Award at Karlovy Vary.
