 by László Nemes has been chosen to represent Hungary in the race for the upcoming Oscar for Best Foreign-language Film (which will be handed out on 24 February 2019 after the unveiling of the nominees on 22 January).

Sunset was produced by Laokoon Filmgroup and French outfit Playtime (which is in charge of its international sales and has already notched up some very impressive figures, including an acquisition by Sony Pictures Classics for North America and Australia), and boasted support from the Hungarian National Film Fund.
