Bulgaria has an Oscars hopeful in Omnipresent

The Bulgarian Cinema Council has announced that its 11-member committee has chosen Ilian Djevlekov's second feature, Omnipresent [+see also:

film profile], as the country's Oscar submission.
The film about an advertising-agency creative who becomes obsessed with placing spy cameras everywhere, a strategy that spirals out of control and ends in disaster, won Best Film, Best Actor for Velislav Pavlov, Best Actress for Teodora Duhovnikova, and the Audience Award at the national Golden Rose Film Festival in Varna in 2017. The movie was produced by Miramar Film.
