MIDPOINT selects nine projects for Feature Launch 2019
- First or second film projects by directors from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine will take part in Feature Launch next year
MIDPOINT has announced the nine projects and two script-consultant trainees who will be taking part in MIDPOINT Feature Launch 2019. The programme focusing on feature-length films is designed for filmmakers working on their first and second movies. The teams consisting of writers, directors and producers from Croatia, the Czech Republic, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine will participate in a year-long development platform, which kicks off in January in Trieste and runs until January 2020. They will be joined by two script-consultant trainees from the Czech Republic and Latvia.
The selected projects will be presented in July 2019 at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival, as part of the Works in Development – Feature Launch event. After this presentation, the main financial KVIFF & MIDPOINT Development Award of €10,000 will be handed out.
