Les Arcs Film Festival organises a Focus on Poland

- This year, the French event is taking a closer look at recent Polish films and upcoming projects
In the snowy but cosy ski resort of Les Arcs, where the namesake Les Arcs Film Festival is set to unspool from 15-22 December, the audience and industry professionals will be presented with the highlights of recent Polish film output and be given a sneak peek into the country’s cinematic future. Q&A: Pawel Pawlikowski
film profile] by Paweł Pawlikowski will be the subject of an international co-production case study, while the film’s DoP, Łukasz Żal, is serving as a member of the Official Competition Jury. Furthermore, the conversation about potential cooperation with Polish producers will most probably touch on the 30% cash rebate, which the country is introducing in 2019. On 13 December, the Polish president signed the financial incentives bill, and the exact date when the scheme will be introduced is to be announced soon.
