Berlinale Series to present seven drama series
- The TV reboot of Joe Wright's Hanna and a miniseries directed by Guillaume Nicloux head up the selection

The fifth edition of the Berlinale's programme dedicated to TV works, Berlinale Series, has announced the selection of seven drama series hailing from Denmark, Germany, the UK, France, Israel, Austria and Sweden to be premiered at the Zoo Palast during the 69th edition of the festival (7-17 February). After the success enjoyed by the section last year, during which European TV series like Bad Banks (Germany) and Liberty (Denmark) were screened, the festival is continuing to shine the spotlight on this blooming industry, which is now catching up on the Continent after years of hits in the USA.
This year's highlights include the TV re-telling of Joe Wright's 2011 thriller Hanna [+see also:

Also selected is the ARTE miniseries directed by France's Guillaume Nicloux, Twice Upon a Time, which sees Gaspard Ulliel starring in a sci-fi story about love, loss and time travelling. The first Swedish original series for Netflix (Quicksand), an Austrian interpretation of Fritz Lang's classic M (M - A City Hunts a Murderer), and Germany's look at the last eight days of mankind (8 Days) are also on the programme, which is rounded off by the third season of Danish series Follow the Money and the second season of Israel's False Flag.
The section will show the first two episodes of each series, except for Guillaume Nicloux's miniseries, which will be screened in its entirety (comprising four episodes).
