MyFrenchFilmFestival racks up 10 million views
- UniFrance's online festival enjoys its second best year on record. The Filmmaker Jury Award goes to Diane Has the Right Shape
Some excellent results for the ninth edition of MyFrenchFilmFestival, the online event organised by UniFrance, which recorded 10 million views worldwide (in over 200 territories) from 18 January to 18 February this year, its second best result since the festival began and a remarkable achievement considering that China did not participate this year.
The five countries with the most viewings on the MyFrenchFilmFestival.com platform were (in order) Brazil, Mexico, Poland, Argentina and Russia. But festival films could also be watched on over 50 partner platforms, including iTunes (in 97 territories), Google Play (32 territories), Amazon Instant Video, Dailymotion, YouTube, Facebook, Windows, Sony, MUBI and VRrOOm.
The Filmmaker Jury Prize (composed of Houda Benyamina, Coralie Fargeat, Mikhael Hers, Kim Nguyen and Jaco Van Dormael) went to Diane Has the Right Shape [+see also:
