A ten-part ensemble film about the future of Hungary in its new EU context entitled From Europe to Europe had a special screening at the Mostra. The ten directors are all Hungarian and represent different generations and points of view of how they feel their homeland will react and change after it joins the new enlarged Europe in April 2004, even though Hungary has always considered itself profoundly European. It is no coincidence that one segment is entitled The Bell’s Ringing for Us. The film was directed, amongst others, by industry veterans like Istvan Szabo and Miklos Jancso.
