Dirty pretty things is distributed by TFM Distribution, and is being shown under the French title Loin de chez eux. It’s a British co-production involving Celador Films, in association with BBC Films and Miramax. The film was originally launched on 50 screens in Britain on December 13, 2002. Yesterday also saw a Belgium theatrical release and it will be out in cinemas in Denmark, Finland and Greece from tomorrow, with the Italian distribution set for September 12, Norway on September 19 and on October 9 it will be out in Holland. The film’s performance in France will provide an important benchmark to evaluate the success of quality British films, set in the context of an upturn in cinema French audiences, which have increased by 18% and 20% in the last two weeks.
