4 co-productions nominated
There are 4 Dutch co-productions in the list of nominations for the European Film Awards, the European Oscars, which will be awarded on December 6 in Berlin. The information about the nominations was published yesterday by the European Film Academy.
Following on from its box office success and the numerous awards its already won, the film by Ben Sombogaart, Twin Sisters is one of the works on the total list of 43 feature films chosen to compete for the EFA prizes. The film was produced by IdtV Film and NCRV for Holand, in collaboration with Samsa Film from Luxembourg.
Other films taking part in the prestigious competition also include Sea of Silence, the new film by the Belgium director Stijn Coninx (Daens), which will have its premiere screening at the Utrecht Festival. It’s a European co-production involving Isabella Films (Holland), Sophimages (Belgium), Lichtblick Film & TV Produktion (Germany) amd Zentropa Entertainments (Denmark).
