FESTIVALS Denmark

Nordic Children’s Films

by

The 3rd BUSTER Copenhagen International Children’s Film Festival (September 29th-October 5th) will be featuring an important showcase for the first time this year. It’s the New Nordic Children’s Film (NNCF), a new annual event for European children and young film professionals.
The two-day event (October 2-4) will be both a platform for European film professionals and a showcase for Nordic children and youth films. The NNCF competitive programme will be judged by three European professionals familiar with Nordic cinema: Thomas Hailer, the director of the Berlin Kinderfilmfest, Hauke Lange-Fuchs, writer and director of the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck, and Torun Lian, the Norwegian writer and filmmaker. The prize for the Best Feature Film for children and young adults is worth Dkr 50,000 (€7,000) and the most innovative short film or documentary will be given an award worth Dkr20,000 (€2,800).
