Sarajevo’s Docu Rough Cut Boutique reveals this year’s winners
- Four out of the five projects presented at the ninth Docu Rough Cut Boutique have received prizes
The Sarajevo Film Festival's regional platform dedicated to documentary projects in advanced stages of the editing process, Docu Rough Cut Boutique, organised in collaboration with the Balkan Documentary Centre, announced the awards of its ninth edition last night in Sarajevo's Festival Square.
The Bulgarian project Legacy by Petya Nackova picked up two awards: from HBO Europe (€2,000) and Digital Cube (€20,000 in post-production services). This Contrast Films production tells the story of Tanya and her family, who are all dedicated to her school for deaf children. When she falls ill, their lives are turned upside down, and Tanya and her husband have to go abroad to find the right treatment. Left alone, their older daughter Kathy (20) has to manage the school and take care of her younger sister, Yana (16).
