Salvatores and Italian Cinema

The 6th edition of the Stockholm Festival of Italian Cinema is taking place from September 25 to October 1. The event is organised by F.I.C.C. (the Italian Federation of Cinema Circuits) and the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm. This last film will be presented in collaboration with Svensk Filmindustri, the most important distribution company in Scandinavia, which has already bought up the rights to the film. The company intends to use the festival as a launch pad for the film, which will be released in cinemas across Scandinavia immediately after the festival closes, from October 3 .

This year’s special event will be the presentation of the restored version of The Great Day by Ettore Scola, while the 2003 Retrospective will be given over to Gillo Pontecorvo.
