De D van Dag in Utrecht

The new film by Allan Van O.T. Andersen, De D van Dag will be screened at the Netherlands Film Festival in Utrecht, which started today and goes on until October 3. The opening of the film starts in a bus stop in a godforsaken place, when a man tells a young girl a story about three people who meet by accident in a shoe shop. But it seems that the man has many other stories to tell...

The work is the feature length film made by 9 students of the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten in Utrecht for their diploma. Each of the pupils worked in their own area of expertise, from music to directing, editing to art direction.

The cast stars Janni Goslinga, Theo Maassen, Hans Beijer, Lieke van Lexmond, Hans Klok and Felix de Rooy. De D van Dag was produced by Maudy Van Bree, Rico Sohialit and Rimke Schuiling.
The director Allan van O.T. Andersen was originally from Denmark but he moved to Holland in 1999 to attend courses at the Hogeschool voor de Kunsten. The film will be shown tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday at the Kikker Theatre.
