Mothers’ Instinct triumphs at the 10th Belgian Magritte Film Awards

The 10th edition of the Belgian Magritte Film Awards, which took place last Saturday night, saw the triumph of Olivier Masset-Depasse’s Mothers' Instinct [+see also:

film profile], which went home with the 9 awards it was nominated for. A real success for the film, which first premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, and which is soon to be remade in America by the director, with Jessica Chastain producing.
The film won, amongst other prizes, the awards for Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress for Veerle Baetens, and Best Photography for Hichame Alaouie.
This evening was also a resounding success for Versus Production, which thus won its 4th Best Film award in 10 editions of the Belgian Magritte Film Awards. The company also won in the Best Flemish Film category for Tim Mielants’ Patrick [+see also:
