The closing date for entries to the traditional Documentary workshop, organised by the Vlaams Audiovisual Fund (VAF) is close at hand. This year it is being led by Roger Beeckmans. Tjose who are interested in taking part have to send in their applications by October 10, 2003 including the proposal for a documentary (from 26 to 50 minutes) and a small budget for a current affairs feature. After the first writing phase, the best projects will be taken into consideration to be made as part of the same workshop, which finishes in June, 2004.

The VAF has chosen Roger Beeckmans because of his wide experience as a cameraman and director of documentaries for RTBF. In addition he has worked for the international magazine, “Strip-Tease”, and won this year’s Grand Prize for Documentaries at Montecarlo with Une leçon de tolérance
