Following on from the cancellation of MIPTV, which was due to unfold in Cannes between 30 March and 2 April, the production house Nexo Digital which also specialises in worldwide sales of history-based event cinema, art documentaries and 4K films has devised a Virtual Showcase & Meeting event through which it will present its films to potential buyers. From today, 30 March, the firm will present its 2020 film slate to the international audiovisual market via a dedicated platform, as well as hosting a series of virtual meetings here. As Nexo Digital’s CEO Franco di Sarro explains, , "in order to contend with the unprecedented situation we’re currently experiencing, and to continue supporting the audiovisual industry, we’ve created a virtual space which will allow all of us to keep on working, albeit from a distance, and to help buyers get a feel for the quality of the various content, as would normally happen at MIPTV. Our goal over the past few days has been to create a virtual marketplace. With this in mind, we’ve built a dedicated platform, and we’ll be happy to meet with TV and digital programming professionals from all around the world via dedicated meetings held on the Zoom platform, in anticipation of seeing each other in person, soon, more aware than ever of the beauty and value of the work we do”.
