Europe on RAI

As a Cinedays 2003 partner, the Italian public TV network Rai will be devoting a large part of its schedules on the various RAI networks to European cinema from October 10 to 24. The main channel, RAI Uno, will be focussing on British films, presenting works like Liam by Stephen Frears (October 11 at 00.40) and East is East by Damien O’Donnell (October 18, 00:40). On October 24, the RAI Due channel will be showing the German work Lola Corre by Tom Tykwer (at 00.40).
RAI Tre is the usual haven for cultural productions and the programme “Fuori Orario” will be broadcasting on a series of cult European films from the history of cinema, from Peeping Tom (1960) by Michael Powell to Bluebeard (1963) by Claude Chabrol, Berlin AlexanderPlatz by Rainer Werner Fassbinder (1980) to Love in Rome (1960) by Dino Risi. Finally RAI Notte, will be featuring more recent European productions like The Girl of Your Dreams, Wilde and No Man’s Land.
