At FFF Bayern’s latest meeting, approval has been given for an investment programme worth around €4.7 million for 15 film projects. The largest grant (€1.4 million) will be given to the new film by Helmut Dietl (Rossini, 1997) Vom suchen und finden der Liebe ("Looking for and finding love"), a modern day version of the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and the search for eternal love, set midway between melodrama and comedy. The story is based on the book by Patrick Süskind, who also contributed to the writing of the screenplay, and it will star Moritz Bleibtreu (Run, Lola, Run, The Experiment) together with Alexandra Maria Lara, Uwe Ochsenknecht and Anke Engelke. The production will also involve Norbert Preuß for Fanes Film.
