Incontri d'essai 2003

A Vodka Lemon party will open the Cinema d’Essai meetings organised by Fice in Ravenna on Wednesday 15th. The party is a tribute to the film with the same name by Hiner Saleem, winner of the ‘Controcorrente’ competition at the 60th Venice Film Festival. 8 previews are scheduled for this 3rd edition of the ‘meetings’.

, by Lars Von Trier (Medusa) and Noi, the Albino, by Dagur Kari (Lucky Red) will be shown in the theatres of the Cinema Corso and of the Multisala Mariani. The ‘meetings will close on Friday 17th.

The Fice will also present the trailers of the features due to be released and 10 shorts d’auteur, produced in Italy and Europe, which will be distributed in the cinemas d’essai in 2004. A preview of Opopomoz, a new cartoon by Enzo D’Alò and three round events are also scheduled. Professionals of the audiovisual sector will face institutions, starting on the Thursday 16th, in the morning, with the presentation of the book Claudio Zanchi: un riformista per il cinema, followed in the afternoon by the round table “Cinema d’essai: prospects of development” and by the conference on “Local realities and support to the cinema d’essai”. The latter will be held on Friday morning, at 10:00. Fandango, Anteo and Doc.it will then explain their projects for the distribution of documentaries.
In the evening, the Fice Prize 2003 closing ceremony will award Maya Sansa, Tonino Guerra, Luigi Maria Burruano and Francesco Patierno.
