Basques for cinema
The first screenings of the films chosen by the Basque Cinema Archive, as part of the European initiative Cinedays, will be held today in the Sala di cultura Arrasate de la Kitxa di San Sebastian. The event will end on 24th October.
The selection intends to provide a wide and varied overview of the great masters of European cinema, and includes 5 unforgettable works of art, such as the comic masterpiece Funny Drama or The Strange Adventures of Doctor Molyneaux by the French director Marcel Carné (1937), the classic adventure story The Four Feathers by the Hungarian director Zoltan Korda (1939), Marriage Italian style by the Italian director Vittorio De Sica (1964), Los anos oscuros by the Basque director Arantxa Lazkano (1992) and La vida mancha by Enrique Urbizu which will be screened for the first time in the euskera language.
