Brenda Blethyn (Secrets And Lies) is the lead actress in A Way of Life, the directorial debut of acclaimed writer Amma Asante behind the cult TV drama Brothers and Sisters. The production team also includes cinematographer Ian Wilson (Emma, The Crying Game) and production designer Hayden Pearce (Solomon and Gaenor). Currently filming on location in Cardiff and Swansea, the film is produced by Patrick Cassavetti (Intimacy), Peter Edwards and Charlie Hanson for Awol Film Production. A Way of Life is co-financed by the UK Film Council New Cinema Fund, the Arts Council of Wales, HTV and is sold internationally by Portman Films.
