Art-house films at Euro 3
Third year of the event, “Paris, capital of art-house cinema”, organised by the City council of Paris and the French Art house Film Exhibitors Association (AFCAE). During the festival, 16th to 22nd October, cinema lovers can buy tickets to films in the 35 art-house cinemas (76 screens) of the capital at the exceptional price of Euro 3.
European films, great classic films, documentaries, excellent feature-length films in circulation for too short a time: one quarter of the cinemas in Paris are art-house cinemas, which offer the public a vast selection of films throughout the year. These “temples for cinema lovers” have organised themed screenings, retrospectives, previews, meetings, and debates with writers, directors, journalists, sociologists and historians for this year’s festival. Events include a tribute to Manoel de Oliveira at the Racine Odéon, Agnès Varda at the Denfert, andJacques Doillon at the Cinéma des Cinéastes; the digital festival at Ursulines; the selection 25 years of Caméra d’Or at L’Archipe Paris-Cine and Festival Nouvelles vagues in France and the Czech Republic at the Mac Mahon.
