French influence with Cine-Club Francais

The film club screening French-speaking films every week in Stockholm's Cinema Zita and Göteborg's Hagabion will expand its usual programme of mainly new films during Cinedays with screenings of French speaking films that have had an impact on European film heritage and on today's European cinema.

Stockholm's Cinema Zita just had a premiere of the Dardenne brothers' Le Fils [+see also:

on October 14th before its Swedish release on October 24, and the French classic Les Diaboliques by Henri-Georges Clouzot will screen on October 21st. Göteborg's Hagabion also screened Les Diaboliques on the 15th and will show Leos Carax's Mauvais sang on the 22nd.

All films available with English or Swedish subtitles will be offered at a lower rate and extra screenings will be organised on daytime for schools and colleges. Ciné-Club Français is organised by the French Institute in Stockholm in cooperation with FolketsBio which controls the Zita and Hagabion cinemas. Both cinemas are also part of the Europa Cinemas network.
