Police films in Hannover
As part of the Cinedays initiative, the Kino am Raschplatz of Hannover, and the German centre for media didactics (Medienpädagogisch Zentrum), have decided to bring past and present European productions closer to the public through the choice of one film genre: the police film. A short review of police films will be held from 23rd to 29th October. The films range from the start of the genre to present day productions, and start with The murderers are among us (1931) by Fritz Lang, followed by Breathless (1959) by Jean-Luc Godard, The American friend (1977) by Wim Wenders, and ending with L 627 (1992) by Bertrand Tavernier.
The cinema’s programme will also feature premieres of such important European films as: Dogville [+see also:

The event will end on 5th November with a debate entitled: "Cinema: a place of learning?”, with representatives of the film industry and the culture and education sectors.
