has now come to an end, after five weeks of shooting which will be rounded off, as planned (the story is spread across different seasons), by a little over three additional weeks from the end of November until mid-December. ) and the actress and director Nicole Garcia (seen this year in the Lupin series).

Written by the director herself, the story revolves around a young mother who is raising her eight-year-old daughter alone in a small Parisian apartment and whose father is suffering from a neurodegenerative disease. As she struggles with the labyrinthine process of securing proper care and a decent nursing home for him, she crosses paths with an old, lost friend. Even though he’s already in a relationship, they embark upon a passionate affair…

One Fine Morning is produced by David Thion and Philippe Martin on behalf of Les Films Pelléas, in co-production with Arte France Cinéma, Dauphin Films, German firm Razor Film and MUBI (who have acquired distribution rights for the UK, Ireland, India and Turkey). Pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film also enjoys the backing of the Ile-de-France region, MBB (Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg), the mini co-production treaty between France and Germany, Grand Accord/Arte and Weltkino (who will distribute the film in Germany). Its release in France will be steered by Les Films du Losange, who are also in charge of international sales.

For the record, Les Films Pelléas have just unveiled, in Cannes’ Critics’ Week, Anais in Love [+see also:

by Charline Bourgeois-Tacquet (to be released in France on 15 September), which aroused a great deal of interest at the Marché du Film and notably resulted in Magnolia acquiring the film for the USA.
