EXCLUSIVE: Trailer for Karlovy Vary title Runner
- The new film by Lithuanian filmmaker Andrius Blazevicius is set to world-premiere in the East of the West competition of the Karlovy Vary Film Festival
When Marija (Žygimantė Elena Jakštaitė) learns that her boyfriend, who has had another of his psychotic episodes, has disappeared from their home, she runs into the streets of the city in order to find him and hopefully prevent a tragedy.
Lithuanian writer-director Andrius Blaževičius will present his sophomore feature, Runner [+see also:

film profile], in the East of the West competitive section of this year’s Karlovy Vary Film Festival (20-28 August). Blaževičius’ debut, entitled The Saint [+see also:

film profile], premiered at the Warsaw Film Festival in 2016.
Runner was produced by Lithuania’s M-Films and Czech Republic's Bionaut Films. It also received the support of the Lithuanian Film Centre. UK's Alief is in charge of the drama’s international sales.
