Niagara falls on Europe

The Niagara Cinema, part of the Pirkanmaa Film Centre in Tampere, has been taking an active part in Cinedays since October 10 and is screening five European films a day, for another week, aimed specifically at younger audiences.
Classic films such as the 1939 the French La règle du jeu (1939), Le mystère Picasso (1956), Pickpocket (1959), the Italian The Good, The Bad and the Ugly (1966) in a newly digitally restored version, the Finnish Aleksis Kiven elämäa (1999), the Polish/French The Pianist, the Swedish/Finnish Elina, som jag inte fanns, and the Norwegian/Danish Alt om min far were are all being offered to local school classes, with supporting materials for each film.
The Niagara Cinema, part of Europa Cinemas network, has 129 seats and shows both 35 and 16mm prints as well as video films. It is used by the Pirkanmaa Film Centre to further develop film culture in the Tampere region since 1982.
