Focus on France
There’s a showcase of French cinema to be held in Rome. The event is called "Les rendez-vous di cinéma and is promoted by the French Embassy, the Agency for the Promotion of Independent French Cinema, the Gan Film Foundation, Gan Assicurazioni, in collaboration with the Fandango Politecnico cinema. This is an opportunity for the Italian and Francophone public in the capital to enjoy French films that have not yet been released in Italy. The showcase starts on October 23, and will take place on the last Thursday of every month at the Politecnico Fandango cinema. There will be premieres of films shown in their original language with Italian subtitles, and at the end of the screening there will be the chance to debate the issues tackled in the films, with the directors, producers and actors, as well as an opportunity for the audience to ask questions about specific aspects of the French film industry. The first film on the programme is Ma vraie vie à Rouen by Olivier Ducastel, who will be present together with Jacques Martineau. The appointment is on October 23 at 19.00 and 22:30.
