The film's plot revolves around the parents of three pupils who are summoned by the headmistress of a provincial middle school: something bad has happened, for which their children are responsible. But it is hard to believe and to accept. The gym turns into an improvised courtroom, where a fierce trial begins in a stubborn attempt to deny and hide the truth.

Educazione fisica is produced by Paco Cinematografica with Rai Cinema in co-production with the Polish company Agresywna Banda, in collaboration with Cinecittà SpA. "Stefano Cipani is a talented and original author," say Paco's Isabella Cocuzza and Arturo Paglia, producers of the director's debut feature. "We are proud to support and accompany him, once again, in the expression of his creativity in this new and ambitious project".

"We are particularly pleased to host a young talent like Stefano Cipani," adds Cinecittà SpA CEO Nicola Maccanico. "It is nice to welcome a project that combines different stories and energies, that combines talent, dramaturgical research, experience, art. We want to become the creative home for these projects with the ambition of playing a central role for the Italian film industry in order to bring viewers an even richer season of visions, stories and entertainment".
