- Swedish director is to donate raw footage, photographs and manuscripts to a new foundation set up in his honour
Sweden´s pre-eminent film director, Ingmar Bergman (The Seventh Seal, Fanny & Alexander) is to donate footage, photos and manuscripts from his plays and films to a new foundation that the Swedish Film Institute and Swedish Television are setting up to honour him.
«This will be a huge resource for researchers but we haven´t decided whether to make it accessible to the public just yet,» said Jan Goeransson, head of the SFI.
Bergman, 83, is currently producing a 90´ television play for Swedish Television.
