Limmensità is set in Rome in the 1970s. The Borghetti family have just moved into one of the city’s countless, newly built apartment blocks. ) are no longer in love, but they can’t bring themselves to split up. Clara finds refuge from her loneliness in the special relationship she enjoys with her three children. The eldest, Adriana, who’s unknown in their new neighbourhood, deliberately introduces herself to the local children as a boy, pushing the family bond to breaking point.

The screenplay for the film was written by the director alongside Francesca Manieri and Vittorio Moroni, while photography was overseen by Gergely Poharnok (Sole [+see also:

Limmensità is a co-production between Italy and France, helmed by Mario Gianani and Lorenzo Gangarossa for Wildside (owned by Fremantle) and Dimitri Rassam for Chapter 2 and Warner Bros Pictures Italy, who are distributing the film. The movie enjoys the support of the Italian Ministry for Culture, Canal+ and France 3 Cinéma. Pathé will distribute the film in France and Switzerland while world sales fall to Pathé International.
