Spanish Screenings has chosen Ventana Sur, the leading Latin American audio-visual market (co-organised by INCAA and Marché du Film - Cannes Film Festival), which will be held between 28th November and 2nd December, to present its first On Tour edition to the international audio-visual industry, which will represent a significant step-up in Spain's presence at this important Latin American event. The Animation!, Blood Window and SoloSerieS sections will present projects in development of new Spanish productions, both feature films and series, fiction, animation or fantastic and horror films. The calls for submissions for the selection of content for the Spanish Screenings On Tour at Ventana Sur 2022 are as follows: for projects in development until 19th September, and for finished content or content in post-production and works in progress, until 10th October.

Spanish Screenings On Tour is one of the four pillars of Spanish Screenings XXL together with Spanish Screenings Content (which takes place during the Malaga Film Festival), Spanish Screenings: Financing & Tech (in San Sebastian) and Spanish Screenings 360, a programme of active actions throughout the year that also includes the future creation of a virtual promotion and business platform.

On the other hand, ten feature film projects with a predominantly Spanish production, in the development phase, will be presented at a new event to attract international investors to be held on 19th and 20th September during the 70th San Sebastian International Film Festival as part of Spanish Screenings: Financing & Tech.

Organised in collaboration with CAA Media Finance, one of the leading international talent representation agencies, executives from MUBIWild Bunch International, Netflix and Eurimages, among other companies and organisations, have confirmed their attendance.

The event, which will be open to people with industry accreditation, will include conferences, presentations of case studies of internationally successful Spanish productions and round tables on current trends in the audio-visual sector in terms of financing and co-production.
