Thessaloniki’s Agora Crossroads Co-Production Forum is about to hold its 18th edition, which will unspool from 6-10 November. The forum aims to offer support to fiction-film producers connected to the regions of the Mediterranean, and Southeastern and Central Europe. The producers of the selected projects will have the chance to showcase and discuss their projects with co-producers, distributors, sales agents and top-notch pundits in the field of production.

This year, the selection includes 14 projects and their attached directors and producers. Some of the recent Crossroads participants whose films have reaped awards are Nightsiren [+see also:

by Ameen Nayfeh, which pocketed the Audience Award in the Giornate degli Autori, as well as the Golden Alexander for Best Film and the Bronze Alexander for Best Direction in the Meet the Neighbors Competition of the 61st Thessaloniki International Film Festival.

The Crossroads Co-Production Forum jury comprises: Alessandro Amato, producer and CEO at dispàrte (Italy); Christina Pelekani, marketing and distribution consultant, and co-founder of Endorphin Film Sales (Greece); Myriam Sassine, producer at Abbout Productions and Beirut DC/Beirut Cinema Platform (Lebanon); and Annamaria Lodato, head of international relations at ARTE France. The Crossroads awards are provided by Greek post-production house Two Thirty Five, the Onassis Foundation, the CNC, ArteKino, Finos Film, the Cannes Marché du Film’s Producers Network, Sofia Meetings, the MFI, Initiative Film and EAVE.
