Spanish Screenings On Tour comes to Ventana Sur
- A hundred professionals, 25 projects in different stages of production and screenings of Spanish films, as well as a host of activities, are taking centre stage at the Buenos Aires market

The first edition of Spanish Screenings On Tour represents a historic arrival of the Spanish audiovisual industry at the 14th Ventana Sur, the main audiovisual market in Latin America, which will be held between 28 November and 2 December (read more). The Buenos Aires event will be attended by more than 100 professionals and will promote activities and meetings, as in addition to the project pitching sessions, themed working breakfasts will be held for each section so that their representatives can interact with their potential international partners.
Conferences, presentations and round tables have also been organised on internationally promoting emerging talent and digital creation, and the next Spanish Screenings Content (Malaga Festival 2023) and the projects selected for MAFF 2023 will be announced. Spanish Screenings On Tour will have a stand as a meeting place: the Spanish Screenings Lounge, located on the first floor of the Universidad Católica Argentina.
The selected projects will also have their official presentation in the different sections of Ventana Sur: five in Animation!, five in Blood Window, five in Punto Género and five in Solo SerieS (all of them are listed at the end). In the Video Library, five works in progress (the titles are listed at the end), eighteen finished films and 42 Spanish productions looking for possible remake agreements will be available online for accredited attendees. Finally, 21 recent Spanish films will be screened in Buenos Aires and there will be three Market premieres: the latest works from Álex de la Iglesia (the crazy road movie El cuarto pasajero [+see also:

The Spanish presence will be completed by a selection of video game projects in the Maquinitas section. This video game industry market, with a programme dedicated to promoting the production and professionalisation of the sector, will feature two panels and three masterclasses organised by Games from Spain, from ICEX Spain Export and Investment, given by renowned professionals and leading experts from the Spanish video game industry representing companies such as Mango Protocol, Moonatic, Pendulo Studios, Pentakill, Tequila Works, TLR Games and The Game Kitchen. The full programme of Games from Spain in the Maquinitas section of Ventana Sur can be viewed here.
Spanish Screenings On Tour is one of the four pillars of Spanish Screenings XXL together with Spanish Screenings Content (which takes place during the Malaga Film Festival), Spanish Screenings: Financing & Tech (in San Sebastian) and Spanish Screenings 360, a programme of activities throughout the year that also includes the future creation of a virtual promotion and business platform. Spanish Screenings XXL is a plan promoted by the European Funds of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan that aims to reinforce Spain's role as an audiovisual hub in Europe. With the Ministry of Culture and Sports through the ICAA and the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation through ICEX, the Malaga Festival and the San Sebastian Festival, this event adopted a new format in 2022 to become Spanish Screenings XXL, an international market for Spanish audiovisual production.
