Written by the director, the story revolves around Nora, a young 26-year-old criminal defence lawyer who still lives with her parents. Despite having no experience in the field, she finds herself in charge of a 19-year-old boy who’s accused of killing a girl who lives in his building. From her first experience of police custody to her follow-up of the case, Nora realises how cruel the world around her really is, in terms of both her private and professional lives. Swept up in the frenzy of her new life, she soon starts to make mistakes…
La vie sauvage is produced by Camille Deleau and Antoine Denis on behalf of Ligne 2 (who are taking their first steps in feature films), in co-production with France 2 Cinéma. Pre-purchased by Canal+, Ciné+ and France 2, the feature also enjoys support from the Île-de-France region, as well as from Pictanovo (Hauts de France region) and the SOFICA companies Cofimage, Cinéaxe and SG Image. Sales are steered by Be For Films while distribution in France is entrusted to Tandem.
