, and set to topline La Fille de son père in 2023).

Written by André Téchiné himself, in league with Régis de Martrin-Donos, the story revolves around Lucie, a specialist officer in the technical and scientific police, close to retirement. Her solitary life is disturbed by the arrival of a young couple in her housing estate, parents of a little girl. As she grows fond of her new neighbours, she discovers that Yann, the father, is an anti-police activist with a long criminal record. Lucie's moral conflict between her professional conscience and her desire to help this family will make her certainties waver...

My New Friends is produced by Sylvie Pialat and Benoît Quainon on behalf of Les Films du Worso, in co-production with France 2 Cinéma, Same Player, Ciné Nominé, Srab Films and Les films du Camélia. Pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film also enjoys support from the Occitanie region where the 30-day film shoot is taking place (in the Eastern Pyrenees, notably Saint-Génis-des-Fontaines and Perpignan) and from Cinécap, Cinéventure and Cofimage. Distribution in France will be steered by Jour2Fête and the sales are handled by Pyramide International.
