The Institute of Documentary Film has announced that, for the first time ever, the East Silver Market will be presented at East Doc Platform in 2023. This means that creators of projects in post-production and finished films from the Central and Eastern European (CEE) region will have the opportunity to showcase their work to decision makers.

Accredited guests attending East Doc Platform will be given access to a video library, which will showcase East Silver and One World titles at the French Institute in Prague. The East Silver Market will be a one-day event taking place on 28 March, and will feature completed films and rough cuts. The main aim of the market is to promote and distribute the selected documentary films.

East Silver and East Doc Platform decision makers will conduct pre-scheduled, 15-minute individual meetings with attendees, offering them the opportunity to pitch their projects and discuss any potential opportunities. The event will provide a unique platform for decision makers to network and discover new talent from the CEE region.

Additionally, the Institute of Documentary Film has organised a Mini-Market at the One World Festival IHRDFF, which consists of individual meetings with East Silver Market decision makers. The primary objective of this event is to find additional screenings at international festivals, distributors and international sales agents for five finished films.

The East Silver Market and Mini-Market events will give creators and decision makers in the documentary film industry the opportunity to network and discover new talent. The platform will help promote and distribute documentary films from the CEE region, providing a chance for filmmakers to showcase their work to a global audience.
