trilogy). This sentimental thriller plays between suspense, the breaking of taboo and uncomfortable truths about love. It is the story of a passionate relationship, in which there is no shortage of shadows and secrets, that challenges social conventions and family balances, subverting the role of motherhood in Mediterranean culture. The main characters are embodied by veteran film, TV and theatre actress Monica Guerritore and Giacomo Gianniotti, recently seen in the role of Diabolik in Diabolik - Ginko all'attacco! [+see also:

directed by the Manetti Brothers.

Gabriella is the owner of a prestigious hotel on the Amalfi Coast, an elegant woman, proud of her sixties and aware of her role. Her three children are now grown up and life no longer seems to hold many surprises in store for her, until she meets Elia: a charming, vital, free-spirited boy, the same age as her eldest son, who exerts an irresistible, but also ambiguous and frightening charm on her. Despite the age difference, Gabriella rediscovers herself as a woman, a lover, and for Elia she is ready to put everything on the line, even her relationship with her children and their inheritance.

Inganno will be released exclusively on Netflix in 2024.
