The third Full Circle Lab Nouvelle-Aquitaine awaits new projects

Since 2019, Full Circle Lab, created by Tatino Films, has been supporting filmmakers at various stages of their career, and aiding in the development, production and post-production of their films in order to help their creativity and international potential. The third instalment of the lab, Full Circle Lab Nouvelle-Aquitaine, will work with six feature films related to the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region of France, with a customised approach. The lab caters to both new and seasoned filmmakers, as well as French and international projects. It utilises the local cinema ecosystem, including festival initiatives and residencies like clos-FIFIB and Biarritz Bal Lab, as well the Poitiers Film Festival, and encourages collaboration among filmmakers and producers in the region.

was showcased and premiered in Cannes Critics' Week last year. In the second edition, established filmmakers such as Aurélien Vernhes-Lermusiaux and Davi Pretto were among the participants, alongside emerging talents Borbala Nagy from Hungary and Lilla Halla from Brazil. Furthermore, prominent producers from the region, such as David Hurst, Julie Paratian, Claire Charles Gervais, and Louise Bellicaud were involved in the second edition.

The Full Circle Lab Nouvelle-Aquitaine team is directed by Matthieu Darras and Lebanese producer Myriam Sassine as co-head of the lab. An industry day, organised in cooperation with the Poitiers Film Festival and its ‘Jump In’ initiative, will conclude the second edition of Full Circle Lab Nouvelle-Aquitaine in December 2022 in Poitiers.

In detail, the Full Circle Lab Nouvelle-Aquitaine will select four feature-film projects at the scriptwriting stage (participants include both screenwriters and producers) and two film projects in the editing phase. The projects at the scriptwriting stage are participating in the Development Lab and will attend two residential workshops, each lasting four working days. The first one will run in June in La Maison Forte in Monbalen, while the second workshop is in October, in Villa Valmont in Gironde. The teams behind two feature films in the editing phase (which are titles previously supported by the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region) will attend a workshop that follows the format of the First Cut Lab. The deadline for submissions is 25 April, and the selection will be announced on 21 May. Detailed information can be found here.

Regarding the tutors and mentors for the second edition, confirmed names include Philippe Barrière, screenwriter and script consultant (Made in Bangladesh [+see also:
