FESTIVALS France

Cabourg, Love is Love

by

Paraphrasing a popular saying, «Romance makes the world go round» and all of you who look at life through rose-coloured spectacles can glut on love and romance for four days (June 13- 16) at the 16th International Romantic Film Festival of Cabourg on the Normandy coast; a place beloved by Marcel Proust and the setting for his novel, «Within a budding grove».
Although this festival was set up with the clear intent of showcasing short films, (this year´s jury president is Marie Trintignant), the programme also includes the 2nd feature film competition including Jan Sverak´s Dark Blue World (Czech Republic), Cédric Klapisch´s L´auberge espagnole and Luc Pagès´ A + Pollux (both France).
The following films will be screened out of competition: Dai Sijie´s Balzac and the Little Chinese Dressmaker, Frédéric Jardin´s Cravate Club and Robert Guédiguian´s The Two Loves of Marie-Jo.
