CineStar is well on its way to cementing its leading position amongst the cinema chains in the West Balkans, as it prepares to open its newest, biggest and most technically advanced establishment in Prishtina Mall, in the capital of Kosovo, on Friday 2 June. It will be a megaplex with 15 screens and approximately 2,000 seats filled with state-of-the-art cinematic exhibition technology, such as Harkness wall-to-wall screens, Barco 4K RGB laser projectors, JBL speakers, Crown amplifiers and so on.

It will be equipped for regular screenings as well as 3D and 4DX ones, while also offering other perks for a quality theatrical experience. The megaplex will also feature two Gold Class halls with 40 seats each, offering visitors a luxury edge to theatre-going, which includes special seating, drinks and dining. The Ultimate hall by Dolby Atmos offers state-of-the-art sound with flat-screen, RealD 3D technology, Clarus screen technology, a 4K laser projector and an amphitheatre seating arrangement. The CineStar eXtreme hall will offer high-end 3D screenings. The main novelty in the regional CineStar network will be the Gaming hall, which can easily be converted from a theatre hall into a gaming arena suitable for e-sports competitions and private gaming parties. Families with children will have the Kids hall available, the technical specs of which can be adjusted to suit the preferences of the youngest visitors, plus two birthday rooms intended to host celebrations. The establishment also contains the Cinema Bar and provides free parking in its garage.

At the moment, CineStar is the largest chain of multiplex movie theatres operating in the West Balkans, with 28 establishments in four countries (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Kosovo), 182 halls and approximately 28,000 seats. Meanwhile, its biggest competitor in the region, the Austrian chain Cineplexx, operates 24 theatres in eight countries (seven in Serbia, six in Slovenia, three in Bosnia and Herzegovina, two each in Croatia, Albania and Kosovo, and one each in Montenegro and North Macedonia), with 167 screens.
