Ibermedia Next reveals the names that make up its evaluation and advisory committee

Ibermedia Next, an initiative that is part of the Ibermedia Programme and is financed by NextGenerationEU funds (see the news), has announced the names of the members of its evaluation and advisory committee. This committee, composed of five highly specialised professionals from the industry, will be responsible for guiding and advising on the development of the projects selected for the new Ibermedia Next funding line.

The five members of the committee have extensive experience in the industry. Aïda del Solar is a Peruvian director and screenwriter based in Paris, while Alejandra Luzardo is a leader in innovation and creativity at the IDB. Luís Belerique is an artist specialised in 3D modelling, Rosario Carlino is the CEO of OSA Estudio, and Raúl García has worked as an animator on renowned Disney productions.

The announcement was made during the Annecy Film Festival, a world-renowned event in the animation sector. Ibermedia Next participated in the event during various activities, including conferences, thematic breakfasts and networking events as part of the Annecy International Animation Film Market (MIFA).

The main objective of the evaluation and advisory committee is to ensure that the grants are awarded competitively and in accordance with the principles of objectivity, transparency, equality and non-discrimination. It will evaluate the projects individually and collectively, providing a final assessment and offering online consultations to the selected projects.

In addition to the financial contribution of up to €150,000 for the selected projects, Ibermedia Next provides a training, consultancy, promotion and dissemination programme valued at up to €95,000. The creators and their projects will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the synergies and networking opportunities provided by events such as the Quirino Awards, Pixelatl and Animation! Ventana Sur.

Ibermedia Next is an initiative aimed at supporting the implementation of new technologies in digital animation and audiovisual content with a high percentage of animation. The call for entries is currently open, and various types of projects can be submitted, from prototypes to short films, that employ new technological tools for animation. The final decision on the call will be made in November of this year. For more information and to participate, you can access the free Ibermedia Next Plaza platform or visit the website.
