Having kicked off in June, shooting on Tonight We Kill (Ma este gyilkolunk) by Peter Fazakas, which is set in a manor house in Ráckeresztúr, is set to wrap at the end of July. This will be the director’s 3rd feature film after Para in 2008 and The Game [+see also:

in 2022 (scooping ten nominations at the 2022 Hungarian Motion Picture Awards and claiming three trophies, including Best Actor).

Leading the cast is seasoned actor András Kern, who’s very famous in Hungary thanks to a multitude of comedies and who’s been absent from screens since Think of Me [+see also:

in 2019 and Tall Tales in 2020), the story revolves around a scruffy, old actor, once made famous by a Poirot-like role, who begins his own investigation within the four walls of a remote actors' home. As he systematically interrogates his suspects one by one, he realises that finding the culprit among so many excellent actors will be a task worthy of a master detective…

Tonight We Kill is produced by Tamás Lajos on behalf of Film Positive Productions and enjoys support from the NFI (National Film Institute). Photography is entrusted to István Balázs Balázs (awarded multiple trophies for Casting) and production design to Pater Sparrow. Distribution in Hungarian cinemas will be steered by InterCom.
