Entries have now opened for the films to take part in the Official Selection (In Competition, Out of Competition, Un Certain Regard and Cinéfondation) for the next Cannes Film Festival,which will take place from May 12 to 23, 2004.

For feature length films and short works (no longer than 15 minutes) applying for the official competition and for the films aiming to take part in the Un Certain Regard and Out of Competition sections, the closing date for applications is fixed for March 15, 2004. The regulations are published in the “Enter a film” section on the Festival’s internet site. The rules are very simple as all that it needed is to send in the completed application form and send the VHS, DVD or a copy of the film to the festival at the following address:

Every year the Cinéfondation, directed by Georges Goldenstern, presents around 20 films from cinema schools around the world. The closing date for applications to this section has been fixed for March 1, 2004. The works presented (feature length films, shorts and medium length films) should not be longer than 60 minutes and the selection committee will view videos and DVDs, with subtitles in French or English, or with the accompanying dialogue if the films have been made in one of these two languages.
