November's Cinergie

In this month's issue, the Belgium webzine Cinergie is focussing on two Belgium filmmakers: the prolific documentary maker Claude François and Stephan Streker, who has just completed his first feature length film, called Michel Blanco. Cinergie is also looking at the Media 10/10 festival in Namur, dedicated to the world of Belgium short films, and there’s also a report from the set of La femme de Gilles [+see also:

by Frédéric Fonteyne (Une Liason Pornographique) starring Emmanuelle Devos, Laura Smet and Clovis Cornillac. There’s also an interview with Stijn Coninx on the occasion of his new film, Sea of Silence, which is the Belgium nomination for the 2004 Oscars, and another with Lukas Vander Taelen, the director of the Fonds Vlaams Audiovisueel (VAF). The webzine also features an article on the Atelier Graphoui, discussing animation techniques and documentary making.
