- The roundtable marks the network's first year of partnership with the Venice Production Bridge

On September 3, Europa Distribution members will gather in Venice for a working session in the scope of the 80th Venice Film Festival's Venice Production Bridge, marking the first year of partnership between the Venice Production Bridge and Europa Distribution. Over 30 independent distributors, all members of the European Network of Independent Film Distributors and Publishers will attend the activities of the festival's industry section, and will participate in a closed roundtable session with producers, organised in collaboration between both entities.
This roundtable session, entitled “Connecting The Dots: Film Distributors and Producers Unite to Streamline Workflow from Creation to Audiences”, will see distributors and producers discuss common interests and needs when it comes to the workflow from creation to audiences. The discussion will focus on practical improvements to interactions and best practices between distributors and producers and allow for the development of new connections between the two sectors.
In light of the partnership between Europa Distribution and the Venice Production Bridge, distributors in attendance will also participate in other activities during the Venice Biennale such as works in progress and industry screenings.
Europa Distribution will continue to organise networking events for distributors and other film professionals, and discuss the unique challenges of promoting and publishing European independent films. The network’s next events will be in partnership with San Sebastian International Film Festival on 24-28 September, with IDFA in Amsterdam on 12-14 November and with EFM in Berlin on 15-21 February 2024. Europa Distribution has also launched the most recent editions of EDMentorShe, its Mentorship Programme and Distributors on the Move, its Exchange Programme.
