Created in 2003 to reward the best films in Luxembourgish cinema, showcase outstanding filmmakers and other professionals, encourage film creation, promote the development of the local film industry, and draw the public’s attention to Luxembourgish productions, the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis celebrated its 10th edition on Saturday 11 November at the Grand Théâtre of the City of Luxembourg. The ceremony, jointly organised by the Film Fund Luxembourg and the Filmakademie, was attended by Their Royal Highnesses the Grand Duke and the Grand Duchess, Xavier Betel, Prime Minister and Minister of Communications and Media, Sam Tanson, Minister of Culture, and Lydie Polfer, Mayor of the City of Luxembourg. The list of winners based on the votes of the Academy members was presented by Guy Daleiden, Director of the Film Fund, and Yann Tonnar, President of the Filmakademie.

dominated the ceremony, winning two awards: Best Fiction or Documentary Feature Film in Co-production, as well as Best Female Performance for Vicky Krieps. Jacques Molitor's Wolfkin [+see also:

won the award for Best Luxembourgish Fiction or Animated Feature Film.

In addition to the awards decided through two rounds of voting by 446 Filmakademie members, a special XR Film award for the best XR Production was decided by an international jury of professionals. The award went to Missing Pictures by Clément Deneux, a Wild Fang Films co-production.

A special press award, outside of the Academy, was given to Joachim Lafosse’s The Restless [+see also:
