As of January 1st 2004, Nordisk Film will have an office in Los Angeles Headed by Kim Beich, the company’s current Director of Acquisitions. Beich who has worked for Nordisk Film for the last 16 years will be responsible for establishing closer connections between the distribution unit of the Nordic film group and its main suppliers, the big US independent production companies including Miramax and Icon Entertainment.

Nordisk Film is the leading film distributor in the Nordic region, optimising the distribution of its products through its integrated structure including theatrical, video, sell-through, video rental and TV. Owned by Danish major Egmont Group, Nordisk Film cooperates with Columbia TriStar on the US major’s theatrical releases in Scandinavia and is the distribution arm for major Scandinavian production companies such as Zentropa, Nimbus in Denmark and Matilda Röhr in Finland.
