Having previous unveiled its festival line-up (read our article), Series Mania has now revealed the selection for its highly anticipated Co-Pro Pitching Sessions, unspooling in Lille on 19 March within the Series Mania Forum.

Chosen from among 413 submissions from 57 different countries, 15 projects are set to grace the competition, with a 16th project set for presentation out of competition in partnership with Berlinale Co-Pro Series. European countries represented this year are Germany, Italy, Norway, Finland, Poland, Slovakia, Ireland, Greece, Bulgaria, the Netherlands and France.

The Co-Pro Pitching Sessions jury will be led by American Nina Lederman (of Sony Pictures Television) who’ll be joined by Italy’s Marco Chimenz (Federation Studios), Brit Jennifer Ebell (Fifth Season), her compatriot Karine Marelle (Starz) and Norway’s Marianne Furevold-Boland (NRK).

The Series Mania Forum will also play host to countless conferences, panel discussions, showcases (Netflix, Disney+ EMEA, BBC Studios, Max) and Coming Next From sessions for France, Spain, Italy, Norway and Finland. Especially noteworthy among the very many speakers on the agenda are Wayne Garvie (Sony Pictures Television), Isabelle Degeorges (Gaumont Télévision France), Clément Schwebig (Warner Bros. Discovery for Western Europe and Africa) and Domingo Corral (Movistar Plus+). 

Last but not least, on 21 March the Lille Dialogues - bringing together leaders from the international audiovisual industry with a view to developing a common approach to the greatest challenges within the sector and to promoting co-operation - will be dedicated to a particularly topical subject: "Generative artificial intelligence, the technology we’d love to love". Equally noteworthy are keynote speeches due to be delivered by Cathy Payne (Banijay Rights), Rodolphe Belmer (TF1), Delphine Ernotte Cunci (France Télévisions) and Jean-Briac Perrette (responsible for Global Streaming and Games at Warner Bros. Discovery), among many others.
